Face Ripper Records reacts to EPTA7 – “The Walls Breathe”

 

A new reaction to EPTA7's “The Walls Breathe” is now online, this time courtesy of Ben at Face Ripper Records.

The episode was particularly interesting for us because EPTA7 sits somewhat outside the channel's usual diet of heavier and more extreme music. Ben approached the track with an open mind, focusing not only on the music but also on the atmosphere, visual concept and the relationship between EPTA7's human creative direction and contemporary production tools.

During the reaction, he highlighted the song's hooks and the way the “breathing walls” concept translates into the video, while also offering constructive criticism and encouraging us to push the heavier side of the project even further.

His closing words were perhaps the best way to end the journey:

“It’s another artist to keep an eye on and I will be watching closely.”

Epta7 is an Irish–Italian dark alternative project formed in Dublin in 2012, creating music that inhabits the space between industrial rock, post-punk tension, electronic decay, and cinematic urban horror.
With Here Come the Freaks, Epta7 move beyond their industrial-metal origins and build something more immersive: a dystopian sonic world where cities breathe, walls remember, identities collapse, and human beings slowly mutate under the pressure of noise, trauma, paranoia, and decay.

After first emerging in Dublin’s underground scene with their debut EP Eptasystem, Epta7 return with a renewed artistic identity: darker, more atmospheric, and impossible to confine within a single genre.
