We’re very happy to share a new in-depth interview with Indie Band Guru, where EPTA7 opens the door a little further into the strange universe behind Here Come the Freaks.
In “8 Questions with EPTA7,” we talk about the origins and evolution of the project, the ideas and fears that shaped Here Come the Freaks, and the relationship between music, storytelling and the increasingly cinematic visual world surrounding EPTA7.
The conversation goes deeper into The Walls Breathe, including some of the inspirations and hidden references behind the song and its imagery, while also exploring influences ranging from H.P. Lovecraft and Tim Burton to Guillermo del Toro and H.R. Giger.
But the interview isn't only about where we've been.
We also discuss what comes next: Schengen Reload, the next chapter of EPTA7. While Here Come the Freaks looks inward at personal fears, trauma, paranoia and the monsters living inside us, Schengen Reload turns its attention outward — toward a world shaped by war, climate anxiety, pandemics, political fragmentation and the uncertain future of Europe.
A huge thank you to Keith Pro and Indie Band Guru for giving us the space to explain the project in depth and, above all, for showing genuine curiosity about the world we're building.
